Enduring advice on preparing for the job market.
In 2014, David Firth, Matt Germonprez, and I wrote a paper on how to navigate the US academic job market. It was designed for students interested in Information Systems or I-School jobs.
The paper is unique, in that it represents the views of three successful faculty at different types of schools, with distinct demands, and unique worldviews.
I was reminded of it recently by an assistant professor in France, who commented the advice was enduring and nudged me to remind folks it existed.
So, if you're actively preparing for the market, and don't want to scroll through 100+ LinkedIn posts, here is a nice summary of tips and tricks from three faculty on landing the job that you want: https://lnkd.in/gHESqNtm
Best of luck!
