For faculty who are mid-career (post-tenure and not yet ready for promotion to full professor), Donald Wynn, Jr., Adriane B. Randolph, Ph.D., and I will run a workshop at the America's Conference on Information Systems in Minneapolis in August.
We will do two panels - one on career management and one on assessing "fit" with your institution (or potential institution).
Information is here: https://lnkd.in/gymQ8q2w
The workshop is face to face, limited to 20 registrants, and designed to build relationships between panelists, organizers, and participants.
We believe there is value in creating small spaces at large conferences for face-to-face interaction.
To participate, you must register for AMCIS here: https://lnkd.in/gS4PnwU7
If there is interest, we may hold a post-AMICS online panel for people unable to attend - we recognize that not everyone is ready or able to travel. This would be organized by the Association for Information Systems - independently of the conference - and would be free to all comers - anywhere in the world.
Please join us in Minneapolis! For a cup of coffee, laughter, and reflections on life as a mid-career academic!
