On a change in focus (and a new journal editor).

When journals change, no one knows what to expect.

Suprateek Sarker was recently named editor in chief of Information Systems Research (ISR).

At the MENA conference on information systems, Supra outlined his vision for the next three years of the journal.

He plans to open the journal to more design science, qualitative, behavioral work and more.

He plans to support modeling and econometric research as well.

Without compromising the community ISR serves, he declared the journal to be for all members of the IS community as of January 1st!

You never know what will happen to a journal, when editors change.

I am pleased to report that it looks like ISR is in good hands!

Congratulations to Supra! And thank you for the service!

Many thanks to King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals - KFUPM for hosting the event & to the organizing community for making it possible for me to participate in the events!
