On #MeToo and #Econtwitter (a summation of events).

For people interested, here is a summation of what has happened on Twitter this past week or so.

Jennifer Doleac is taking some heat from "colleagues" at her institution and in her field.

Some of the accused are acting as if nothing is wrong, others appear to have fallen silent, and others still lurk in the shadows.

For many academic bystanders, me included, we are much more aware of what we say, how we act, and glad that we are progressing as a broader academic community.

Read the summation and draw your own conclusions.

Me? I'm grateful for Jennifer's leadership. It's hard being the tip of the spear.

What is notable, is the frustration is not simply that women have been harassed, it is that women continue to be harassed.

How sexual harassment persists past #metoo and 2018, is beyond me.

The path forward is simple - stop behaving like idiots - and make amends.

I hope Jennifer Doleac knows, and the men who continue to harass women know, that the world is now watching.
