The IS Job Market is Thriving

Writer's picture: Jason ThatcherJason Thatcher

The hardest part of picking a major is understanding what jobs, and skills, are in demand in the marketplace. The #ISJobindex has offered that market insight to students, parents, and employers for the past decade!

The 2022 news overall is very good, the tech companies might be downsizing but not so much their tech workers, and the non-tech major corporations are still hiring Information Systems students like crazy!

The Job Index provides an overview of the entry-level Information Technology labor market co-authored by Munir Mandviwalla, Michael Dinger, and Brianna Anderson of the Temple University. Their findings are based on 1408 IS graduates from 36 universities across the nation.

IS Job Index is published by Institute for Business and Information Technology, Temple University in partnership with the Association for Information Systems and sponsored by Meta is now available for download: http://isjobindex.com.

Many thanks to the team & to the 36 sponsor schools for their contributions to understanding the Information Systems; labor markets!
